The History Of Wine Making And Storing It In Wood Wine Racks

********

As civilizations grew, the art of creating drinks that could be enjoyed in social situations and with meals also became an active industry. The importance of the grape to ancient man can be traced back to cave drawings where grapes were drawn onto the walls.

With making wine, there is also the ever important piece of finding ways to store it, and many people use the traditional wood wine racks to display their collection of wine bottles.

A Quick Journey Into The History Of Wine Making

It is thought that ancient Egypt may be the birth place of making wine. The ancient Egyptians made clay containers that held wine for both the living and the dead. Wine containers have been found in ancient tombs.

Although the grapes needed for making wine were not grown in Egypt, this type of grape could be found in nearby regions, and the Egyptians were known to be traders, enabling them to obtain grapes for wine making. The writing on the clay containers also indicates the words for vineyard, making a connection to producing wine.

Wine making continued its production and the evolution of wine changed the original product to one that has become part of religious practices as well as the center of social gatherings.

As immigrants came to the new world, wine production followed. French immigrants began growing grapes in the Hudson Valley and the production of wine continued.

Displaying Wine On Wood Wine Racks

Wine making and collecting is a passion for many. Being able to display wine in wood wine racks enables a wine enthusiasts to show off their collections. Wood wine racks are a beautiful ascent to any décor.

Many people make their own wine cellars and wood wine racks line the walls. For many, a wine cellar can be created in their basement. A simple small room can be designed with glass doors to be able to view the wood wine racks that hold all of the wine bottles.

Wood wine racks display wine in a classic style that enhances a basement setting. There are also smaller displays that can be made for a wine collection. Often a small wine refrigerator is a great addition to a living space. The wine then remains cold, but the clear door displays the wine for visitors to see.

For many social gatherings the sharing of wine is an important social interaction. There are many enjoyable wines that can be shared and displaying a collection of wine is a favorite space for many.
